August 2009

Dear Friends,

Lately I am so reminded of how Great and Mighty the Lord is. How he moves through the hours of our lives each day sometimes seemingly unnoticed to us. Only when we take time to look back and reflect do we see the divine footprints that He has been there.  I encourage you to take the time to look back over today and see. I have no doubt it will amaze you.   May the Lord bless you and may your hope be renewed today!

A Word of Hope – God’s Inseparable Love!

Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?  No, in all these thing s we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.  For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, no any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Love is one of the strongest cords of human emotion.  It can cover a multitude of sins.  It can see past flaws and imperfections.  But unfortunately human love can also be fickle and shortsighted.  As humans we cannot love as perfectly and completely as we would like.  Human love is often based on conditions.  “If you love me, I will love you.”  It can change according to feelings and circumstances.

But God’s love is not like our love.  His love is perfect.  It loves completely and unconditionally.  It never changes.  No matter what - He never stops loving us.  Paul proclaimed the unlimited boundaries of God’s love in his letter to the Romans.  He asks, “Who can separate us from God’s love?”  Then he answers his question with the utmost confidence – “I am convinced that neither death, life, angels or demons, present or future difficulties, no powers of any kind, high or low, not anything in all of creation can separate us from the love that God has for us through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Paul was absolutely sure that God’s love for him would never be severed.

Can you say the same?  Are you convinced in your spirit that God’s love for you is complete, unconditional, and will never change?  God Word does not lie.  You can be confident today that God’s loves you very much!  How great and wonderful is the marvelous love of God!
