January 2009

It’s my prayer that your New Year unfolds before you, full of God’s blessings and provisions in all things.

A Word of Hope – The Dawn of a New Day!

Lamentations 3:21-23  “This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

As the hands of the clock struck midnight on December 31st, the page of your life turned over in readiness for another year.  The words and actions of 2008 could not be erased.  The days could not be relived.  Not a moment could be retrieved.  The unbeliever may look forward in fear of what may come.  But for the Christian, the days ahead are to be embraced with expectation like that of a blank page waiting for the pen of the Master to write upon it.    Last year’s failures have given way to a dawn full of new mercies.  New opportunities with new victories to be won and new promises to be fulfilled.  Look ahead with anticipation and watch for His hand to move upon the pages of your heart.  For great is His faithfulness!

Quote of the Month

“God does not call the equipped, but rather he equips those he calls.”

Whatever God has called you to do this year, you can be sure he will provide all that you need to accomplish it.

Something to Ponder:

If one week = 100% then one day would = 14.28%.

We know from the scriptures that Jesus went to the synagogue, as was his custom on the Sabbath. [one day a week]  And lets for the sake of keeping the Sabbath say that he rested the remainder of the day.  That leaves 6 days. That means that 85.72% of Jesus ministry took place outside the synagogue.

Or you could say that 6 out of 7 days for ministry was performed in the world with those outside the synagogue or church.
