December 2008 Have an abundantly blessed Christmas! My prayer is
that it will be overflowing with all the goodness of God and that the
gift of our Savior will be your most treasured possession. May the Lord bless
you and may your hope be renewed today! Cheryl A. Botelho, Director A Word of Hope - Good News! Luke 2:10-12 "Do not be afraid. I bring you good
news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of
David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This
will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a
manger." It's true that the palaces of this world did not herald the coming
of Jesus' birth and there was no royalty awaiting his arrival. However,
there was a sound of rejoicing that rang through the heavens for the angels
had waited in anticipation for this event and their gladness was heard with
enthusiasm. It was a joyous sound that broke the silence of that quiet
Bethlehem night. On a hillside where lowly shepherds kept watch over their
flock, there suddenly appeared a great host of angels. With shouts of
praise they declared the coming of the Savior. "I bring you good
news of great joy! And it will be for everyone, everywhere!"
Again their voices rang out. "Glory to God in the highest, and on
earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." Not at any time in the history of man has better news ever been
told. God had sent a Savior and no one was to be excluded from this great
gift that had been given. The Good News was Jesus- Emmanuel- God with
us! The world would never be the same again nor the lives of those who
received this precious gift. Have you heard the good news? God has given you the
gift of His Son Jesus. But a gift has no real value unless it is
received. Today, the gift can be yours. Open your heart and
receive it! Quote of the Month "When Jesus is present, all is well." - Thomas a
Kempis
What
a wonderful promise for us to embrace everyday of the year. A Daily Dose of Hope
Click the here for a list of the “December” daily devotions. Something to Ponder: Did you wake up on the
street this morning? Did your stomach
pain with hunger from days without food?
Were you without clothes to wear or a home to dwell in? Did your ears hear bombs or gunfire in the
night? Then please pray for those
who answered “yes” and thank God you’re answers were “no”. RHM Ministry Updates
