November 2008

“Have a blessed Thanksgiving!”

A Word of Hope

Psalms 107:1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Of all the things I have to be thankful for, I am thankful most for God’s love and mercy that reached down, picked me up and set my feet on a solid rock.   If he never did another thing for me, his goodness so far is enough to just say, “Thank you Lord!”  for the rest of my life.   Has God been good to you?  Then take a moment and just say “Thank you!”

Quote of the Month

“Never doubt in the dark what God told you in the light.” V. Raymond Edman

Remember with the Lord there is no shadow of turning.  His promises are true whether the sun is shining or whether the clouds roll in the way of our view.   You can trust his words to be true no matter how things look.

Something to Ponder:

Psalms 122:1    I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.  Do you go to church each week out of obligation or ritual? Or can you honestly say your heart is like David’s and you look forward to being in God’s house?  If you go expecting to meet with God, I can assure you, you will not leave disappointed!
