How can I have a personal
relationship with Jesus? God
loves you just as you are. You are
very precious in his heart and more than anything he wants you to know
Him. Because man sinned we were cut off
from the fellowship with God that we were created for. But God’s love reached down through Jesus
Christ and the sacrifice he made on the cross. Jesus died to take away the sin that separated you from the
Father so that you could once again have a relationship with Him. You cannot do it on your own. Salvation cannot be earned. Jesus has already paid the price. The steps below will help explain how you
can receive salvation. The
relationship will be a one on one daily interaction between you and God. Pray!
Talk to God about your problems, your hopes and your
disappointments. Read the Bible! Learn what God has to say to you about
your life, your hopes and healing for your disappointments. Just like in the world, relationships are
formed by spending time with another person.
Spend time with God and your relationship will grow. Four Steps to
Salvation First - Recognize
that only God can save you. You
cannot be saved because you are “doing the best you can,” or because of your
religious efforts. Your only
salvation comes from what Jesus Christ did for you on the Cross of Calvary. “For
by grace are ye saved through faith; and not of yourselves, it is the
gift of God- not of works lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9) Second
– Confess that you cannot save
yourself, that you are a sinner worthy of God’s righteous judgment because
everyone has sinned. “For all have
sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23) “For the wages of sin is death, but the
gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans
6:23) Third – Believe the good news that Christ died for you
and that He rose from the dead and now lives to save all who are willing to
come to Him. “Wherefore he
(Jesus) is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him,
seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” (Hebrews 7:25) “For whosoever shall call upon the name of
the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) Fourth – Trust God’s sure promise, not your feelings. You are forgiven because God loved you and would not leave you in your sinful condition. By faith declare that you are saved through the Blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross as payment for your sins. (John 3:16) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Openly confess Him as your Lord & Savior. “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.” (Romans 10:10-11) If you have not yet
personally received Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior, we encourage you
to pray now and ask Jesus to come into your heart, to forgive your sins and
make you a new person. Do not worry
about using the perfect words. Pray from your heart. God is listening to your sincerity not
fancy words. He is longing to have a
relationship with you. Begin to read
the Bible and get to know Him. ** ** If you have received Jesus as your Lord
& Savior or have questions, we have a packet of FREE information
