		March 20 Tower of Strength
	Psalm 61:2-3 From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.
	Have you ever watched an old movie where a group of people were being pursued by an army or enemy? Just when it seems their destruction is sure they come upon a fort or stronghold where they take refuge. When the enemy arrives they are unable to penetrate the stronghold and those taking refuge are kept safe behind its walls. Many times David found himself being pursued by the enemy. When his heart grew faint from running he cried to his God for help. He called to the Rock who was higher and bigger than himself. He knew that God would be his refuge and strong tower. And God did not fail him. Time after time David found the Lord to be a faithful refuge. A place where he was kept safely from his enemies. And this is what the Lord promises to all of us who run to Him for safety. He becomes a strong tower for those that call upon him. When we find ourselves pursued by the enemy we can find safety and refuge behind the strong walls of the Lord. When our hearts grow faint God will become our Rock of refuge. He will keep us safe from the enemies reach. If you are feeling pursued by the enemy today, then call upon the Lord. Run to him now. He will not fail you. He will not allow the enemy to overtake you. He will become your strong tower and a Rock where you can find safety. Prayer Suggestion: Lord, thank you that I can run to you for safety. When I call upon your name you become a Rock and a strong tower for me. When the enemy pursues me I find a safe refuge behind your walls. Back to March
